It's that sort of situation that inspired travel editor and blogger Erica Ho to take the trouble to compile a list of airlines that serve free alcohol in economy class. You can find the list on maphappy.org. It's a simple chart showing which carriers pour free booze and which don't. Ho called every airline on the list to confirm the information. Which airlines serve free alcohol?

You know how jeans started as workaday clothes for cowboys in the Old West and have become essential fashion items? A new concept store, rwb330, is trying to do the same with Hong Kong's plastic bags. Artist Stanley Wong Ping-pui, who goes by the moniker anothermountainman, has turned the signature red, white and blue-striped plastic canvas bags into handbags and clothing. Proceeds from sales go to benefit the New Life Psychiatric Rehabilitation Association, an organization that helps recovering mental illness patients. read more    |
| Harrods to bring luxury line of hotels Posted: 19 Jul 2012 08:01 PM PDT by CNNGo Staff Harrods -- London's upper-crust department store which started operations in 1824 -- will launch a chain of luxury hotels in top tourist destinations around the world, the company has announced. The first hotel will open in Kuala Lumpur, and subsequent properties are planned for New York, London, Paris and Sardinia. "We have already decided to build a Harrods hotel in London, one in Kuala Lumpur and one in Sardinia, Italy," said Dr. Hussain Ali Al-Abdulla, vice chairman of Qatar Holding LLC, the owner of the British luxury retailer. Previous owner Mohamed Al-Fayed sold the store -- which is renowned for its top quality foodstuffs and high fashion -- to Qatar Holdings in 2010 for a reported US$2 billion. Construction for the first hotel is slated to start next year and is estimated to cost £406 million (US$634 million). The hotel is expected to have 300 rooms, apartments and also retail space. read more    |

Chinese tycoons and property magnates have stampeded to snap up the 210 Four Seasons Private Residences -- including the largest, which is priced at RMB 72 million -- and only a few are left on the market. "The luxurious Private Residences range from 240 to 800 square meters, costing RMB 90,000 per square meter, and will have access to all the hotel's facilities once it is open," said Jennifer Sun, director of public relations. "We're really pleased to say that most of the 210 units have been sold already." Anyone not quite able to afford their own private residence should find some measure of consolation in the hotel itself. read more    |

But behind the humble appearance lies Two Wheeler Creek Wines, the island's most westerly vineyard, featuring some excellent sauvignon blanc and the Andermel Marron café. While it's all good eating, we're going to stick our necks out and suggest not ordering the steak or chicken. One absolutely must have the marron. The what?
Marron is a freshwater crayfish, brought from Western Australia 40 years ago and now farmed commercially on Kangaroo Island. read more    |

Given the cool historical background of this house-turned-restaurant, it seems only fitting that the hanbok-clad servers would bring out ornate royal cuisine like sinseollo or grilled okdom from Jeju Island. Instead, bouillabaisse and beef tenderloin (albeit hanwoo) are served within the century-old wooden walls, which are covered with antique hand-painted screens and paintings. A brief history
