McDonald's has changed the name of some of its restaurants to "Macca's," the nickname used by many Australians for the fast-food chain.

The marketing ploy coincides with the lead up to the national Australia Day holiday on January 26.

According to local media, signage was changed on 13 outlets countrywide earlier this month and will remain in place until February 4.

Article Page

You've likely never heard of the island of Chiloé, in southern Chile, but Charles Darwin knew alll about it.

The island's diverse ecosystem inspired the famed scientist to explore the area.

Much of what Darwin saw in 1834 you can still find today.

Bright green forests populate the entire western side of the island, a close-knit penguin colony makes its home on the north. Marine fauna includes blue whales, dolphins, sea lions and sea otters.

Andy Warhol in Hong Kong: 'Deeply superficial' artist's works on show

Posted: 24 Jan 2013 06:45 PM PST

The artworks are traveling as part of the Andy Warhol: 15 Minutes Eternal exhibition, the biggest retrospective of Warhol's work ever to be shown in Asia.

Warhol, who died in 1987, is famous for declaring: "In the future, everyone will be world-famous for 15 minutes."

I took a walk one recent Saturday afternoon. The sky was overcast but there was no threat of rain and the temperatures were perfect.

Not surprisingly the parks just outside the hotel were jammed with weekenders.

Rob Crossan, a visually impaired traveler, describes his experiences and how they need to be improved

Rob Crossan "What's the matter, can't you see or something?" barks the security guard at Heathrow Airport. A small part of me dies with embarrassment.

As a solo, visually impaired traveler, Heathrow is one of the worst places on earth to figure out where I am and more importantly, where I need to be.
