A recent survey among Chinese and internationals travelers indicated that Suzhou was the "most satisfactory" tourist city in China for the third quarter of 2011.

Airport nightclub, virtual chess games and airport speed dating. These are just a few of the suggestions for the second installment of Finnair and Helsinki Airport's "Quality Hunters" campaign to improve the air travel experience.

The ideas, which members of the public can submit to the Quality Hunters website, will eventually be shortlisted for a public vote, with one winning entry to be implemented on Finnair routes next year.

Singapore lifts travel warning to Bangkok

Bangkok die-hards can once again get their fix.

Singapore's Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MFA) has lifted its travel advisory and is no longer telling Singaporeans to consider deferring non-essential travel to Bangkok.

According to Channel News Asia, Thai Prime Minister Yingluck Shinawatra has announced that inner Bangkok will be safe from floods as measures to stem the flooding have been successful.

Shark attack hot spots identified on West Australian coast

For the millions of Australians and tourists who head to the country's beaches every year, there's nothing more terrifying than the possibility of a shark attack.

And while experts point out that
87 people drown off Australian beaches every year, a rise in shark attacks has created a wave of fear.

Five people have died from shark attacks in Australia this year. More people have been attacked. Such incidents are on the rise.

It started at the holiday resort of Coffin Bay in South Australia, where abalone diver Peter Clarkson perished after being attacked by two great white sharks on February 17. Then Queensland's Fantome Island recorded a fatality in August.
