iReport: Pictures that show off the grandeur of Milan Posted: 06 May 2014 11:00 PM PDT Milan's famous cathedral, inside-out and upside-down, plus other unmistakably Milanese images "Milan is never wanting in photo-worthy subjects," says Joel Camaya, an iReporter and Catholic priest from the Philippines. That's especially true when it comes to the city's spectacular and elegant Milan Cathedral, or the Duomo di Milano. The intricate church took six centuries to build and is the fifth biggest cathedral in the world. We received photos of nearly every aspect of the Duomo from Camaya and other iReporters who contributed to our Milan iReport assignment. CNN's iReporters also shared their favorite pictures of the city, which included snaps of one of the world's oldest shopping streets -- Galleria Vittorio Emmanuele -- and the Milan's street musicians. iReports featured in this gallery Ascent to the Rooftop of Milan's Duomo The Galleria Vittorio Emanuele II To see all the other entries, please check out the iReport assignment: Your images from Milan. |
